Fallen trying her hardest to get the hang of crawling. I don't put up many pictures of Fallen that aren't posed, because I honestly have so many that I can't ever choose which ones i like the best but heres a few of her from January!

 

Leighton and I took Rainy and Fallen to the wildlife refuge the other day to just walk around and of course it turned it to the girls wanting to get their picture taken together. I think they would look amazing as sisters!

January 1, 2013 - January 31, 2013

Finally I'm getting on here to do her update, the past month has been literally insane. Fallen's been doing amazing, she has a tooth now (YAY!) and she's finally over being sick. So let's see where to start, where to start. I'll start with new things she's been doing the past month. Her biggest thing she's into this month is playing with her feet, she constantly has them in her hands or trying to get them in her mouth. Hopefully her foot obsession goes away haha. She finally knows her name perfectly, she looks and notices every time you say her name or talk about her so definitely a good milestone to hit this month. She's rolling around all over the floor now and i can tell she wants to crawl so bad. I'm really excited that she's growing up but it's going so fast! The last week or so of the month she started to sit up on her own for a minute or two and now she's pretty much sitting up all on her own. 

We had a rough few weeks in January, hoping not to have a repeat of that. I had gotten the flu, and then a few days later Fallen had it too. So it was sick mommy and baby for awhile. She had an ear infection before she had the flu, and then after she got over the flu she had gotten another ear infection so i was extremely busy taking care of her all month. Also with school going on i had to drop my classes because i really had no time to get anything done between Fallen being sick, me being sick, and trying to get her all better bringing her to the doctor and all that fun baby stuff. 

Mommy Update!

On to some good news, I had gotten a new car this month, YAY!  And i also went on a date with an amazing guy who i have been seeing for the past month! I really couldn't be any happier, I'm so glad i found someone that can accept me for me and Fallen into their lives. His name is Leighton and he also has a daughter Rainy she's 5 and she's really loving having Fallen as her little sister. I'm just super excited to see where things go and see whats going to happy in the future between us, because I am honestly the happiest I've been in a very long time! Being alone and raising a baby can most definitely be not only a challenge but very lonely and stressful. Having Leighton around the past few weeks has been amazing, for a man to come in and help me take care of my child when she's sick and when I'm sick really shows good character because looking back now he never had to do anything he's done for us in the past month. Hoping for good things to come in the future!

Where to start, where to start this month a lot of exciting things went on. My little girl really grew a lot. She started to cut her first tooth around the third week of December which means TEETHING! Not looking forward to that for the next however months it goes on but she's growing up so I have to deal with it. Fallen definitely began sleeping more the the past month, she is only waking up a few times a night to eat. Which is better than how much she was waking up through the night. Not much happened in her fourth month so I'm going to keep this one pretty short and sweet just to catch up so i can start weekly updates and my little girl!!

Okay lets see i really love, Emma* and Addison* . And for boys i love Noah* and Parker*. And I really really don't like Sophia and Jayden or Aiden or any name with that kind of sound to it, not saying if your kids named that i hate your kid i just personally like to stray from popular names

Well honestly i love my name its so unique and I've never met anyone with the same so i probably wouldn't ever change it but since i have to answer the question I'd probably choose McKinley*  it was my second option for Fallen and i love it.

Fallen Mae Three Months Old

November 1, 2012 - December 1,2012

Almost catching up on the blogs! Now on to month three! This month Fallen has learned new things and new habits! Still not a lot of sleeping going on in my household. If she wasn't so darn cute i wouldn't be very happy with her but hey what can ya do right. This month we discovered that Fallen gets really bad diaper rash, doctor said it could be from the fragrances and all that nonsense in the diapers or wipes. So we had bought a few different kinds and found a better combination to calm down the rash, because i felt bad i know that can't be comfortable! At her doctors appointment at the beginning of the month he discussed some shots she's gonna have to get, i hated seeing my princess cry, but i also wanted to protect her from any illness that she could have gotten. Also during her third month she got her first ear infection, i felt so bad i hated seeing her in pain and uncomfortable. Anyways back to the fun news, Fallen started holding her head up all by herself and rolling over the doctor said that she is very advanced for her age and he's happy to see her moving through milestones so quickly, which makes me one happy mama. She also started making noises, you know the cliche baby "coo" and squeals. Another silly thing that she started was blowing bubbles in her drool, sounds gross but it was so funny to watch her get a kick out of something so small. Well that was Fallen's third month, like i said any questions contact me I'd be glad to help with anything!

Fallen Mae Two Month Blog

Fallen Mae Two Months Old

October 1, 2012-October 31, 2012

Sorry her months are a little weird because she was born on the 31st and not every month has one so my family and I have just been using the first of the month!

During Fallen's first month we endured a lot of sleepless nights and getting used to being a mommy. I learned that just because you can be a mom so young doesn't exactly mean you should. Now don't get me wrong i love my daughter more than life itself, but if i could have waited to have her i most definitely would have. Over the past month Fallen has grown up so much right before my eyes, who knew in thirty days someone could change so much!

Around the first two weeks of her second month i noticed she was starting to drool so much, doctors told me it was completely normal but really can't wait until the drool phase is over which won't be for a long time but hey a girl can dream. Also around week two or three of October she started rolling on to her side and back to her back, which was so fun to watch she was loving it! Her movements also became more fluid and not so twitchy like a newborn. The doctor told me to start a bedtime routine, he said it would help her grow into something and help her realize it is bedtime one day. So for a routine me, my mom, or dad read her a bedtime story, she really loved it and loved looking at the pictures and colors. NOTE: My parents help put her to sleep because they love to help and love her not because I'm not around because I am always around with my daughter. Around weeks three and four Fallen started to smile i loved it her smile it just so adorable! I guess I'll end of the two month milestones with Fallen started to hold her head up for a few seconds at a time not to long but hey it was a start! 

Mommy During Fallen's Second Month

Just a few things i had to overcome during the second month of Fallen's life.

I started college this semester, definitely a hard triumph having a newborn. I was staying up all night with Fallen and doing homework when i wasn't tending to her. Seeing her grow and working toward myself growing with her is one of the greatest experiences i could ever have. I would not trade anything for the live i have right now. Many teen mothers pawn their children off on their parents and in all honesty i could never do that. I am Fallen's mother not my parents they raised me and they do not need to raise my children, they did not make the decision to have her so why should they have to take care of her? But on the other hand yes my parents do help me and watch Fallen while I'm at school and so do Brent's parents, but they are not raising her but helping me grow up and become successful.

Fallen Mae Kennason

Fallen Mae Kennason.

My daughter Fallen Mae was born August 31, 2012 at 8:22 am  . She was 7 lbs 11 oz and 18 inches long. I surprisingly was only in labor for two hours! I dilated quickly and before i knew it it was actually time to push. My baby girl was in my arms before i knew it. I was a very lucky mommy, my little girl was healthy as could be. After spending two days in the hospital, Fallen and I got to head home to start out lives together. The first day was challenging, because this was all new to me and i was still very very sore from giving birth. My parents are my savior i would have never gotten through the first week without them. My mom taught me easier ways to feed at night and things like that. At a week old Fallen was keeping me up all night like a baby normally would and I could tell her eye sight was getting a little clearer as she was looking more toward me than at my mouth and eye brows and stuff. 

October 1, 2012. 

Fallen's a month old!

Sadly at about a month old Fallen had gotten a cold and that was hard to deal with. She became very restless and uncomfortable. I felt so bad because i just wanted my little girl to feel better. She began sleeping a little better, not like she was sleeping through the night but only waking up three or four times. Which was a lot better to me being as she was up five to eight times previously. She's eating great and her doctor said she's growing perfectly.

Background About Me!

A Little Background About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Oakley Rae Kennason, I live in and love Mobile, Alabama. I am 19 years old and attend the University of Alabama. My family lives for Alabama football, and oddly the New York Yankees (dad's a northerner). At 16 i fell in love with the most wonderful human being on this planet, Brentley Grayson. On our two year anniversary Brent passed away in a car accident involving seven vehicles caused by a young girl texting on her cell phone. Two weeks after Brent's passing i found out i was expecting our child. The news being both exciting and absolutely terrifying. Being only 18 years old I knew that meant having to grow up and be the best parent i could possibly be. I had two things to worry about and focus on that was my beautiful baby coming in to this world around September 22, 2012 and going to college to  become the successful woman i am capable of being. To this day i am still doing  my very best to be the best mom and student i can be.
